Interrogative Sentences दो प्रकार के होते है।  1.    Yes / No questions → ऐसे Questions जिनके answer हम Yes या No में देते है। जैसे आपसे कोई question करता है, Are you a student? (क्या आप एक विद्यार्थी है ?) तो आपका answer होता है Yes या No। हम इसका पूरा Answer भी दे सकते है जो है, Yes, I am a student. या No, I am not a student. परन्तु "Are you a student?" जैसे Question का Answer हम Yes या No में ही ज्यादातर देते है। इसलिए ऐसे Question को Yes / No Question कहा जाता है। Yes / No Question निम्न 24 Auxiliary / Helping Verbs से start होते है। is/ are/ am/ was/ were/ has/ have/ had/ do/ does/ did/ can/ could/ may/ might/ will/ would/ shall/ should/ must/ ought to/ used to/ need/ dare. 2.    WH question → ऐसे questions जिनका answer Yes या No नहीं हो सकता है। यानि उसके answer में हम कोई दूसरा sentence या phrase बोलते है जैसे → What are you doing? What are Direct and Indirect Speech? There are two parts of Direct Speech There are three general rules to convert a Direct speech into Indirect. Change of Person Change of Tense Change of Other Parts of Speech These rules are applied in Reported Speech. Converting a Direct speech into Indirect we change in Reporting Speech "said to" into "told" "says to" into "tells" "say to" into "tell" "inverted commas" into "that" Tell, tells, told are transitive verbs.
