Sentence / Kinds of the Sentence Sentence किसे कहते है ? शब्दों का वैसा मेल जिससे पूर्ण अर्थ प्रकट हो, उसे Sentence (वाक्य) कहते है। जैसे → Ram has a book. Where are you going? Parts of the Sentences Sentence के दो भाग होते है। 1. Subject (कर्ता) शब्द या शब्द-समूह जिसके बारे में कुछ कहा जाये Subject कहलाता है। जैसे → You are a boy. India is our motherland. The king of Nepal was kind. Rekha is my sister. उपरोक्त वाक्यों में क्रमशः You, India, The king of Nepal तथा Rekha सभी Subject है। 2. Predicate (विधेय) कर्ता के विषय में जो कुछ कहा जाये उसे Predicate कहते है। यानि किसी Sentence में Subject को छोड़कर बाकि सभी शब्द-समूह Predicate कहलाते है। जैसे → You are a boy.
